The point of Puccini's Tosca is not that it is set in Rome or in the summer of 1800. The dilemmas, emotions, and shocking plot twists make the piece interesting. Equally important to the story is the frame of a totalitarian regime where the chief of police can do as he pleases: he can capture without warrant, unlawfully torture, imprison without trial, and execute without verdict whomever he wants. The opera showcases the bravery, faithfulness, and inevitable tragedy of the singer Tosca and the painter Mario, for which a setting of Budapest in the 50's, when the Opera House itself became a spot of events of dictatorship and cult of personality, is a perfect analogy. This new production of Tosca does not have any obvious symbols or historic figures, but the suffocating air of this dark era is palpable: innocent and harmless artists had to die just like they had in the world of the fictional Baron Scarpia.

Cyrano de Bergerac, a francia hadsereg kadétja tehetséges ember. Nagyon jól vív és különös tehetsége van a költészethez is. Egy csomó ellensége van, és legalább ugyanennyi barátja is. Mégis magányos. Ez talán azért van, mert Cyrano az átlagosnál jóval nagyobb orral született, és emiatt – legalábbis ő meg van győződve róla – taszítja a nőket. Őt amúgy is csak egyvalaki érdekli, Roxane, a gyönyörű bölcsészlány, akit meg Christian, a gyönyörű vidéki fiú izgat, ez az érdeklődés viszont már kölcsönös.
Kinek jutna eszébe a nyaralására magával vinni a jelenlegi és az előző feleségét is? Ráadásul egy idős és meglehetősen szókimondó rokon tengerparti házába? A levegő az első pillanattól kezdve tele van feszültséggel, a sziklaszirten álló ház összes vendége mintha tojáshéjon lépkedne, nehogy kirobbanjon a botrány. És nem is Agatha Christie lenne a szerző, ha nem lebegne a levegőben egy gyilkosság baljós lehetősége…
A Budapest Klezmer Band több, mint 35 éve szórakoztatja közönségét. A zenekar alapítója Jávori Ferenc „Fegya”, akinek szerzeményeit, átiratait minden koncerten hallhatja a közönség, ezzel is népszerűsítve a Közép-Kelet-Európából származó tradicionális zsidó zenét. A produkció egy igazi zenei utazás, ahol az átiratok mellett felcsendülnek Fegya musicaljeiből is részletek.
