A jazz elemeit a klasszikus operai hagyományokkal ötvöző új zenei alkotás, amely a világirodalom egyik legismertebb dél-afrikai szerzőjének novellájából készült átdolgozáson és librettón alapszik, a METTRIN és a Maladype együttműködésében valósul meg a Louis Armstrong Nemzetközi Jazz Fesztivál nyitóelőadásaként.
Závada Pál Egy piaci nap című színpadi műve 1946-ban, a második világháborút követő-en, egy fiktív alföldi faluban játszódik, és egy megtörtént, tragikus pogrom eseményeit dolgozza fel. A darab középpontjában egyetlen nap – a „piaci nap” – áll, amely alatt a falu antiszemita indulatokkal fűtött közössége brutális erőszakkal sújt le zsidó túlélőkre.
